Position summary:

CT Mechanical is seeking a Sheet Metal Foreman to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who is looking to grow within the company, capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Understand and comply with OSHA, CT Mechanical and jobsite safety and work policies and procedures
  • Understand and comply Florida Building Code and CT Mechanical best practices
  • Understand and properly receive and store deliveries of materials to jobsite
  • Understand and interpret construction documents to include: blueprints, submittals, specifications, material lists, drawing fittings
  • Using documents, coordinate layout of HVAC systems with building and other trades
  • Set hangers strap and trapeze, set roof curbs, set wall sleeves
  • Understand and perform correct installation of duct work and accessories such as but not limited to VAVs, fire dampers, louvers, control dampers, branch take-offs
  • Build duct work from half patterns, assemble and hang duct systems, apply duct sealing mastic
  • Make duct systems ready for inspection and pressure tests
  • Own and know how to properly use name brand hand tools and battery drills related to the HVAC trade
  • Properly use and care for company provided equipment such as ladders, gang boxes, corded power tools including; bandsaws, hammer drills, reciprocating saws, double cuts
  • Input time for Sheet Metal Journeymen and helpers working on the job site
  • Assist in handling disciplinary actions when needed

Qualifications include but not limited to:

  • OSHA 10
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years working HVAC sheet metal in commercial construction
  • Must be able to read and understand commercial blueprints
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Punctual, alert and ready for work

Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00/hour, Full-time

Pay may depend on qualifications and/or experience
